$500 reward for vandals destroying or defacing pool property. Anyone with details is highly encouraged to contact Benchmark immediately.
* Parents: Children playing in the pool area is very dangerous and unnecessary. There is no reason for them to be in the pool area when the pool is closed. There has been a lot of vandalism this year as this area has become a hangout for pre-teens. Please parents, supervise your children!
* Please remember that neighborhood speed limit is 25 mph! We have had several complaints about cars racing thru the area; PLEASE be mindful of the children!
* As a courtesy to your neighbors, PLEASE DO NOT PARK YOUR VEHICLE IN THE STREET. Not only is street parking in direct violation of Your Covenants (Article II, Sec. 17, Page 8), it is a safety hazard to other drivers and a danger to our children.
* In the interest of safety, please consider purchasing large black address numbers and affix them on your newspaper boxes! Emergency vehicles need these numbers to find houses easier!
* PET OWNERS! PLEASE clean up after your dogs! Take a plastic Krogers or Wal-Mart bag with you when you go for your walks with your pet!
* For safety purposes, no one is permitted to drive a golf cart without a valid drivers license. The following is an excerpt from a recent SunNews article:
A golf cart driver must have a valid driver's license!
Under state law a 15-year old may drive a cart if they have a driver s permit and ride with a licensed driver.
A golf cart owner may apply for a permit to drive the vehicle on a secondary road and across primary highways while traveling on a secondary road, within two miles of his/her home during daylight hours.
The permit costs $5 and is available from the SC Dept. of Public Safety. Owner must show proof of liability insurance and a valid driver s license number for each person expected to drive the golf cart.
