News and Info
In order to effectively manage the on-street parking in the Springlake Community, providing easy and safe access for home owners, residents, and emergency vehicles in the evening hours, Park Select will monitor and enforce the HOA rule that NO onstreet parking will be allowed after 10pm.
Items of Ongoing Concern
A golf cart driver must have a valid driver's license!
Under state law a 15-year old may drive a cart if they have a driver's permit and ride with a licensed driver.
A golf cart owner may apply for a permit to drive the vehicle on a secondary road and across primary highways while traveling on a secondary road, within two miles of his/her home during daylight hours.
The permit costs $5 and is available from the SC Dept. of Public Safety. Owner must show proof of liability insurance and a valid driver's license number for each person expected to drive the golf cart.
Universal Security rides through the property every evening. The guard comes at 10 P.M. every night and ensures that everyone leaves the area and the cars are out of the parking lot. He then puts the chain across the parking lot. Later he will return at random times to ensure no one has come back into the area. He has been doing this since January ‘07, and in that time we have had very little vandalism.
UNIFORM "FOR SALE" SIGNS NOW MANDATORY: The only FOR SALE signs or FOR RENT signs must be the Springlake signs. They can be purchased from Sign It Quick by calling 843-293-9855.
REVISED PARKING AND VEHICLE RESTRICTIONS
2/24/16. There will be no parking in the street (or even two wheels up in the yard and two wheels in the street) between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM. A mailing will be sent to all homeowners for more explanation.
